Abstract
In this paper, we present a case of disseminated tuberculosis in a 25-year-old male patient infected with the human immunodeficiency virus. Following steroid treatment, the patient subsequently developed cutaneous lesions of Kaposi's sarcoma. A culture yielded Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex that was sensitive to ethambutol but resistant to isoniazid, rifampicin, and streptomycin. Despite intensive treatment, the patient eventually succumbed to organ failure in hospital.
