Abstract
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), tuberculosis (TB) is one of the top ten causes of death worldwide and verified as a global health problem. The main reason of global health problem is generally the tremendous burden of disease. In the estimated survey of TB in 2016, 10.4 million people suffered with TB and 1.7 million died with this disease. After a long period of neglect some new interventions are developed by various studies which targets the transmission process i.e., interrupts the transmission of TB among the population. Nowadays, various synthetic drug regimens are followed but the drugs which are scheduled in this regimen have some side effects. However, to avoid these side effects some natural herbs such as Ayurvedic treatment are used for beneficial treatment. The choice of beneficial treatment mainly depends on the severity, age and extent of disease. In this review, we are discussing about the recent natural and synthetic drug regimen used to treat active disease conditions.
