Treatment Outcomes and Programmatic Analysis of Drug-Resistant Tuberculosis (DRTB) under NTEP in Sri Potti Sriramulu Nellore District, Andhra Pradesh, India, 2024

Abstract
Despite global challenges in drug-resistant TB (DRTB) management, newer all-oral regimens offer improved outcomes. This study analyses 2024 DRTB treatment outcomes in Nellore District. Methods: Retrospective cohort study of all 172 DRTB patients registered under the National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP). Results: Overall treatment success rate was 90.1% (155/172), with regimen-specific success of 95.5% (H-Mono/Poly), 75.6% (Shorter), and 93.3% (All Oral Longer). Conclusion: Nellore District achieved outcomes superior to national and global averages, highlighting effective implementation of WHO-recommended regimens.
