Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is one of the most dangerous infectious diseases and continues to be a major public health challenge globally. The treatment of TB is complex because it involves taking numerous medications over an extended period, adhering to strict routines, and managing various side effects. Many individuals struggle to maintain their treatment regimen, which can result in the development of drug-resistant TB, including multidrug-resistant (MDR) and extensively drug-resistant (XDR) forms. These resistant strains pose a significant risk because there are limited effective treatments available, making TB more difficult to control.
