Synthesis and characterization of a coordination compound of cobalt(+3) with isoniazid-based ligand

Abstract
Some coordination compounds of cobalt with ligand hydrazone-type are obtained and described. The ligand (L) was synthesized by the condensation reaction of o-phthalaldehyde with isoniazid (1:2), and complexes by the interaction of the ligand with cobalt salt as Co(NCS)2·3H2O. Coordination compounds are studied by elemental analysis and IR spectroscopy; the assumed composition of the substances obtained is established.
