Abstract
Following a previous audit of latent tuberculosis (TB) screening prior to biologic treatment in our centre, which showed that chest X-ray was not useful in screening for latent TB, we removed chest X-ray from our screening protocol. We report the results of a review of latent TB screening in 761 patients prior to commencing biologic agents for psoriasis or hidradenitis suppurativa, finding that rates of latent TB infection in this cohort (3.3%) are similar to background rates of latent TB infection in the Republic of Ireland.
