CHALLENGES IN THE TREATMENT OF A PATIENT WITH XDR-TB USING A SHORTENED LINEZOLID-CONTAINING CHEMOTHERAPY REGIMEN (BPaL)

The article describes a clinical observation illustrating a rational approach to the correction of adverse drug-induced reaction – severe toxic polyneuropathy in a patient with extensively-drug resistant (XDR) infiltrative pulmonary TB with cavities and dissemination – during administration of a new 24-week chemotherapy regimen containing bedaquiline (Bq), pretomanid (Pa) and linezolid (Lzd) (BPaL).
