Abstract
The article presents data obtained as a result of the study of the concordance of the resistance profile of M. tuberculosis to first- and second-line antituberculosis drugs in secondary cases from tuberculosis households in relation to the index case. The data demonstrate concordance of the first-line antituberculosis drug resistance profile (HRES) in 63.2% of index-secondary pair cases, and in 40.7% of second-line antituberculosis drug pair index-secondary cases. The high concordance of the resistance profile to first-line and second-line antituberculosis drugs provides important evidence for the development of regimens for the treatment of an indoor contact with tuberculosis without TSM (Drug Susceptibility Test) results, until they are obtained, by using a TB treatment regimen tailored to the TSM results of the index case, also using the resistance profile of the TB-DR index case to select a preventive TB treatment regimen for infected household contacts.
