Abstract

Purpose of the study: to exchange experience in diagnosing sarcoidosis with involvement of extrathoracic organs. Materials and methods. The clinical observation of the patient for 4 years is presented on the basis of a comprehensive study of the medical history and the archive of medical documents. Results. A clinical observation of a 29-year-old patient is presented, in whom the first symptoms of sarcoidosis were manifested by a decrease in vision and preceded by damage to the lymph nodes and lungs. Conclusions Sarcoidosis remains a difficult disease to diagnose and treat, often requiring a multidisciplinary approach for diagnosis and management. In areas with a high burden of tuberculosis, the differential diagnosis of sarcoidosis with infection with Mycobacterium tuberculosis plays an important role.
