Abstract
The challenge in convincing patients with latent tuberculosis (TB) to complete a treatment regimen has always been the lengthy (6-9 month) treatment time. But new recommendations from the National Tuberculosis Controllers Association and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention detail 3 shorter-course regimens that take no more than 4 months. In this month’s audiocast, Dr. Campos-Outcalt describes the regimens and who should be screened for TB.
