Abstract

Abstract Hepatobiliary system tuberculosis (TB) is uncommon, and isolated gallbladder TB without an active pulmonary infection is quite uncommon. Even though the gallbladder is naturally resistant to tuberculous infections, isolated gallbladder TB is exceedingly uncommon. Investigation of other inoculation sites and contact tracing of all TB contacts are necessary in light of the diagnosis of gallbladder tuberculosis. Although gallbladder TB is an uncommon condition, people from endemic areas who have risk factors, including a history of tuberculosis or underlying immunosuppression, should be suspected of having it. We report a case of gallbladder tuberculosis presenting as acute cholecystitis.
