Abstract
Objective: To identify in the scientific literature the methods used for ecological analysis of tuberculosis deaths in Brazil between 2018 and 2024. Methodology: An integrative literature review using the PRISMA protocol, evaluating ecological studies, and its methods, on tuberculosis deaths in Brazil published between 2018 and 2024. Data was plotted in Microsoft Excel in binder format and then transcribed directing the variables analyzed. Results: Of the articles found, 16 met the eligibility criteria, and all the data came from the health information systems of the Unified Health System, mostly published in the northeast region. The Global and Local Moran’s Index was the most used method in the sample, as was the spatial scanning method. Finally, all the studies presented the relationship between the territory and social determinants as an outcome. Conclusion: The study provided guidance on which statistical methods to use in ecological studies, highlighting the importance of studying the collective data when dealing with an infectious disease.
