Tuberculosis preventive treatment in people living with HIV: to improve treatment completion, we need a simpler cascade of care

Abstract
<title>Extract</title> Tuberculosis (TB) remains the leading cause of death of any infectious disease – particularly among people living with HIV – and disproportionately affects individuals living in low- and middle-income countries [1–3]. The World Health Organization (WHO) End-TB Strategy published in 2015 recognised the failure of current strategic goals in reducing TB deaths, which remain stubbornly high [4, 5].
