Abstract
Ankle tuberculosis (TBC) is observed in 8 to 10% of the patients with skeletal TBC and 0.1 to 0.3% with extrapulmonary TBC. The ankle joint is an unusual place for TBC arthritis. Due to the lack of TBC-pathognomonic symptoms in ankle cases, it may imitate other diseases. It caused a delay in diagnosis. The present study aimed to examine a case in which joint debridement was applied, and the early-stage ankle tuberculosis diagnosis was made with an arthroscopic biopsy.
