Analysis of Effectiveness and Adherence of Tuberculosis Patients' Medication in Health Care Facilities in Indonesia

Abstract
Indonesia has the second-ranked tuberculosis cases in the world, with a TB burden of 1,060,000 in 2024. In the Ciamis District, West Java, Indonesia, the number of tuberculosis patients experienced quite an improvement from 1517 in 2021 to 2,274 patients in 2022. Still, the number of successful treatments has not yet reached the target of 90 percent set by the global and national TB programs. Adherence and effectiveness become important things for rated as step success treatment. Research this aims to know the level of adherence and effectiveness of TB drugs and the relationship between socio-demographics and effectiveness and adherence to TB drugs. The descriptive observation method used treatment data from TB patients and identification adherence using the MMAS-8 questionnaire. Retrieval technique sample This used purposive sampling with samples obtained, namely 40 respondents. Distribution results frequency 7.9 with a level of adherence, effective use of 100% TB medicine, and no there is a correlation between adherence and effectiveness based on sociodemographic data participants.
