Abstract

Orofacial tuberculosis is quite a rare scenario presented to an oral physician, and we here shall see a case presentation of a 10-year-old boy, with a swelling in his left side of the mandible which even upon suspicion of a tuberculous etiology evaded the Mantoux test twice and with an ongoing coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic first wave where screening test for COVID was not available for the public, biopsy, and culture got delayed due to fear of the virus. Finally, it got diagnosed to be tuberculous osteomyelitis of the mandible with CBNAAT (PCR) and happened to be a case of dissemination from consolidated chest tuberculosis.
