Abstract
The rise of the COVID-19 have affected the entire humanity and dominated over the other infectious diseases like Tuberculosis (TB). This chapter discusses the diagnostic methods, epidemiology, immunological features and biological interaction of both diseases and elaborate the impact of COVID-19 on TB. The pandemic situation has affected the TB diagnostics, treatment as well as the TB monitoring programmes. The co-infection has more complications, and it worsens the condition. Evidence about the co-infection has shown that COVID-19 infection can occur before and after the TB infection. Many risk factors associated with the mortality and morbidity has been understood. More evidence is needed to understand the mechanism of the TB and COVID-19 co-infection.
