Abstract
10 000 electrophilic compounds were screened for inhibition of the essential l,d -transpeptidase (Ldt Mt2 ) of Mycobacterium tuberculosis . Potent covalently reacting inhibitors were identified and characterised by protein X-ray and MS studies.
