Abstract

Tuberculosis of the oral cavity, pharynx and larynx due to extrapulmonary involvement of tuberculosis is very rare. Because of their rare characteristics, tuberculosis lesions represented by ulcers and tumors found in the oral cavity, pharynx and larynx are often mistaken for other diseases, resulting in delays in diagnosis and treatment. The authors report a case of oral and laryngopharyngeal tuberculosis accompanying pulmonary tuberculosis who presented with odynophagia and tongue mass.
