MODERN DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS METHOD OF LUNG CANCER AND TUBERCULOSIS

Savantic

Abstract

Lung cancer and tuberculosis as a combination pathology have long aroused interest. Modern statistics show a lung cancer prevalence in tuberculosis patients that cannot be disregarded: lung cancer is discovered in 1-2% of patients with active pulmonary tuberculosis and in 2-5% of patients with lung cancer. At the same time, the pathogenetic connection between tuberculosis and lung cancer as well as their causative connection are still up for debate; our work is the continuation of that debate. Patients with lung cancer are frequently misdiagnosed with pulmonary tuberculosis, which causes a delay in the proper diagnosis and treatment. This is because of things like the area's socioeconomic situation, limited infrastructure, and underqualified doctors. The contrasts between the two diseases are discussed in this article, along with symptoms that would lead a doctor to predict a right diagnosis at an early stage.
