Role of Pet Animals (Dogs, Cats) For Emerging and Re-Emerging Zoonoses Disease: Review

Abstract

A pet has been share the environment for many times and also they are bringing major psychological well-being for society. However, dogs and cat was a carrier microorganism that pathogens for human infection, like viral, bacterial, parasitic, and others. From those pathogens they are the emerging or re-emerging viral zoonoses for human being, such as rabies, cowpox, rotaviruses and others. From bacterial infections include scratches, pasteurellosis, Staphylococcus aureus, Leptospira and tuberculosis leading to severe case for people because of their different factors which are occurs form pets animals. Similarly parasitic infections including hydatidosis, leishmaniasis, are also recalled as pet related zoonotic disease. Lack of Veterinary care, good personal hygiene and pet hygiene, absence of health education are the factors such a risk of zoonotic infection.
