Abstract
Pediatric tuberculosis (TB) is of primary genesis - it develops as a result of the child’s first contact with a source of contagious infection. In most cases in children the infection remains latent, and under certain conditions evolves into TB disease. The immune status is the decisive factor in this process. In this article we want to analyze the impact of immunocompetence in the response process of the child’s macroorganism to infection with Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
