Abstract

Tuberculosis from a TB hotspots map (Appendix 1) in 3 parishes of Kitwe Central, Rukoni, and Kafunjo between December 2020 to September 2021. Areas with more than 31.8 cases of TB as per the hotspot map guided the team on where to put outreach posts. The team mobilized those with symptoms and signs of TB through VHT and Local council (LC) chairpersons two weeks before implementation. Twelve healthcare workers were involved during the community's two days of activity. Presumptive TB and Community registers used for documentation and excel spreadsheet used for analysis. The indicators include the number of screening visits, patients seen and screened, presumptive TB, and diagnosis of TB.
