Health Services for the Most Vulnerable Have Been Severely Impacted

Abstract
Almost half of all deaths in low-income countries are caused bycommunicable diseases, and maternal, perinatal and nutritionalconditions. Respiratory infections, diarrhoea, malaria, tuberculosis(TB) and HIV/AIDS are the top 10 causes of death.1 At the currentpace, many health-related Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)will not be met in 2030, including premature mortality from noncommunicablediseases, the incidence of TB and malaria, and newHIV infections.
