Abstract
x The high-risk groups should be of greatest interest for TB development in reducing the incidence of it. Purpose: to determine the contribution of social and medical factors to the TB development in patients with COPD and to determine the possibility of influencing them for the prevention of tuberculosis. Materials and methods: The study includes 204 patients diagnosed with the newly identified TB and COPD, of whom 180 men (88.2%), mean age (Me 25; 75) - 48.45 (38; 57) years. The method of the main factors with varimax rotation, the Gutmann method with the scree plot effect was used. 15 parameters determining the probability of developing TB in patients with COPD were accepted for consideration. Variance explained by 6 consecutive significant factors was 76.5% of the contribution of all factors, indicating sufficient adequacy of the developed model (p < 0.05). Results and Discussion: The 1 factor is tobacco dependence, its contribution is 27.6%. The 2 factor included marital status and the presence of children, its contribution is 12.6%. The 3 factor took into account drug dependence and the presence of HIV infection, with a contribution of 12.4%. The 4 factor is male gender, with a contribution of 8.1%. The 5 factor is age, with a contribution of 8.0%. The 6 factor included the absence of housing, with a contribution of 7.7%. Risk factors did not include staying in institutions of the federal penal system, the presence of dependence on alcohol, and the regularity of fluorography. Conclusion: Risk groups for TB among COPD patients are older men who are socially vulnerable, without their own housing, living in poor socio-hygienic conditions, without families and children, with HIV infection, injecting drug users, smokers.
