Abstract

In this paper, we have formulated a mathematical model for HIV-AIDS and Tuberculosis. In addition, human population is divided into four states; susceptible state (), HIV infectious state (), HIV infectious with tuberculosis state () and AIDS state (). In this study, the epidemic and endemic analyses have also presented along with numerical simulations to verify our model. Meanwhile, we also extended our work to an optimal control problem to investigate control strategy to stop the AIDS outbreak such that it can be further studied for public health interventions.
