Abstract
Tuberculosis (TB) is an ancient, reemerging, infectious, chronic and highly fatal disease. It is caused by bacilli of the genus Mycobacterium and is considered as a complex of microbiological and immunological phenomena that represents a significant public health issue in Mexico and in the world [1]. According to the World Health Organization, it is estimated that a quarter of the world's population has latent TB, that is, they are infected by the bacilli, but have not yet become ill or can not spread the infection [2]. These individuals have a 5 -15% risk of developing the illness throughout their lives, and two million will die because of this disease
