Abstract
Tuberculosis is the leading cause of death from a single infectious agent. Treatments are long and complex, requiring multi-drug therapy. Being an intracellular pathogen, the delivery of drugs remains a challenge to the research community. Nanotechnology holds great promise to improve human health. Studies exploring the use of nanomedicines for treating infectious diseases has seen a surge, evidenced by the number of recent publications in the field. Herein, we explore the use of nanomedicines for the treatment of Tuberculosis.
